Faster response and better service is now within reach as the SCWD TEXT BLAST web-based application finds its way from the SCWD Public Assistance and Complaint Desk right to the mobile devices of more than 71,000 water consumers.

At a click of a button, SCWD Interim General Manager Engr. Eduardo P. Tejada launched on September 16 a text broadcast of SCWD’s AMBER web-based applicationintroducing SCWD’s newest information dissemination facility.

The messaging application enabled SCWD to broadcast messages to the pre-registered mobile number of its concessionaires while allowing its recipients to send messages to SCWD free of charge.

On September 26, SCWD sent out 6,864 messages to 2,288 mobile phone numbers informing them of the on-going emergency repair of the 8-in Ø gate valve in front Guinlajon Pumping Station which affected the water supply of almost the entire West served barangays.

“Since Day One, we have always wanted to bring SCWD and its services closer to our concessionaires and this text messaging feature will bring us one step closer to that objective,” says Engr. Tejada.

He added that this service is expected to improve the communication channel between SCWD and its concessionaires as clients can send messages or com-plaints without incurring mobile phone charges. The cost of that text message is already shouldered by SCWD.

SCWD’s new numbers under this messaging application are: 21588106 for Globe/TM subscribers and 225658106 for Smart/TNT/Sun subscribers.
